QUETTA: Four seminary students were buried alive in landsliding incident in an Afghan refugee camp in Saranan area of the Pishin district on Wednesday.

Those killed in the incident were identified as Shafiullah, Hafizullah Muhammad Tahir and Idress Khan.

“All victims were Afghan refugee children who were studying in a seminary in the refugee camp,” a senior official of the Pishin administration told Dawn.

Levies Force officials said the children were playing when the incident took place.

Ages of the children ranged between 10 and 12 years. The incident was triggered by heavy rains which have been falling in the area over the last one week.

People of the area launched the rescue work and took out bodies of the children.
