Inside Karachi: Over 125 street barriers removed

KARACHI: Rangers backed by police and Karachi Metropolitan Corporation launched an operation to remove barriers and barricades mainly in Karachi’s central district.

A KMC statement issued on Sunday said that over 125 barriers had been demolished/removed in central district’s Gulberg, Federal B Area, Karimabad, Liaquatabad, New Karachi, Kati Pahari, Shahrah-i-Noor Jahan, etc.

The barriers and other seized material were deposited in some police stations and KMC stores, the statement added.
