Solar energy

Published March 27, 2015

THE construction and installation cost of solar power plants is undoubtedly high but the maintenance cost is very low. Once the break-even point has been reached, it becomes a win-win situation.

As Pakistan is lagging behind in the use of renewable energy, any government initiatives to this end should be welcomed. Pakistan receives a fair amount of solar radiation for the best part of the year, which should be put to use to solve our energy problems.
