WE rightly grieve for the 132 children massacred in Peshawar, but we don’t have tears for the 250 children who died as a result of negligence by the state in Tharparkar. Similarly, we do not feel the pangs of hunger that over 54pc undernourished children in Balochistan and elsewhere in Pakistan feel. We don’t give a thought to over 55pc of the people living under the poverty line.
