LAHORE: A ward boy was killed when a lift of Gulab Devi Hospital collapsed on Monday.

Naseerabad police said Waqas, 23, son of Sabir, was employed at Cardiac Surgery Ward of the hospital. He was in the lift when it collapsed and hit the ground due to some technical fault. When the lift was opened, the ward boy was found dead.

Police took the body into custody and shifted it to the city morgue.

A case was registered against the hospital administration officer and three doctors who were on duty at the time of the accident.
