A contingent of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) assumed guard duties at the mausoleum. Base Commander Air Commodore Hamid Faraz was the chief guest.

The guard changing ceremony started as the PAF contingent moved to take positions at the four corners of the tomb marching to the tunes played by the PAF band.

Simultaneously, Rangers were ceremoniously moved out by their officer in charge.

Base Commander Air Commodore Hamid Faraz laid a wreath on the grave of Allama Iqbal and also offered fateha.
