KARACHI: A fine century from opener Behram Khan enabled K-Electric to take a vital first-innings lead of four runs against Pakistan Navy on the second day of their Patron’s Trophy (Grade-II) Cricket Tournament fixture on Tuesday.

Replying to the sailors’ 338-7, K-Electric ended up making 342-8 in the allotted 83 overs at the RLCA Gulberg Ground with Behram contributing 133 off 186 balls with 15 boundaries and one six.

Centuries from Ramiz Raja (152 off 149 balls, 21 fours and two sixes) and Zia-ul-Haq (114 off 186, seven fours) helped Pakistan Customs collect 363 in reply to Sindh Police’s 330 at the NBP Sports Complex.

Medicam were poised for an outright victory after Saudi Cricket International were forced to follow on at the UBL Sports Complex.

Resuming at 17-0 in reply to Medicam’s 468-8, Saudi Cricket International folded up for 238 with Nadeem Babar striking a fighting 92 (108 balls, 15 fours and three sixes).

Batting again, the underdogs reached 133-2 by stumps.

For the second day running, Mohammad Amir, the disgraced Pakistan paceman, was disappointed as rain and wet conditions resulted in the second day of the game between Omar Associates and hosts Pakistan Army being a complete washout.

Humak Engineering were in strife at 75-4 after Nadra has posted 357-8 at the Diamond Club Ground in Islamabad. Mohammad Naqqash struck 117 (191 balls, 14 fours and one six) while Shahid Ilyas made 97 (159 balls, 13 fours).

Debutants Brighto Paints were heading for defeat after Karachi Port Trust (KPT) enforced the follow on at the Sheikhupura Stadium. After being dismissed for 122 to let KPT enjoy a lead of 195 on the first innings, Brighto Paints were 174-5 in their second essay.
