SUKKUR: Leaders, activists and supporters of the proscribed Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) Sukkur district chapter took out a rally and held a noisy demonstration here on Thursday against the killing of a party leader, Dr Fayyaz Khan, along with his driver, in Karachi.

They participants marched from Mohammad Bin Qasim Park to the local press club under the leadership of ASWJ provincial leader Allama Mohammed Ramzan Nomani, Sukkur district chief Maulana Zahid Hussain Loond.

Condemning the act of terrorism, they said ASWJ leaders were being killed in Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta and other areas on a daily basis but the federal government had turned a blind eye towards the targeted attacks.

They said the killings exposed the Sindh government’s hallow claims about an improvement in the situation.

They demanded removal of the Sindh government, arrest of terrorists and protection for ASWJ leaders, activists and supporters across the country.
