156 — runs scored by Kyle Coetzer is the highest World Cup score by any batsman from a current non-Test nation. The previous highest was an undefeated 134 made by Klaas Jan van Noortwijk for the Netherlands against Namibia at Bloemfontein in the 2003 World Cup. Coetzer’s knock is also the highest in the mega event against a Test-playing team, usurping Netherlands all-rounder Ryan ten Doeschate’s 119 versus England at Nagpur in 2011.
