LONDON: Leicestershire have acquired the services of experienced New Zealand all-rounder Grant Elliott for this year’s domestic T20 Blast competition, the English county announced on Thursday.

Elliott, 35, has agreed an initial 10-match deal, but may be available for longer, depending on whether he is selected by the Black Caps for their tour of England.

“I’m really excited to be a Fox this season and make some valuable contributions with both bat and ball,” said Elliott, who is currently competing for New Zealand at the World Cup. “Leicestershire will have a new look for 2015 and I’m ready to play my part.”

Elliott is Leicestershire’s second overseas signing for 2015, following Australian fast bowler Clint McKay, who is set to play in all formats of the game.
