SUKKUR: Four suspects believed to be involved in terrorist activities in Jacobabad were produced in an anti-terrorism court (ATC), which remanded them in a seven-day police custody.

Hyder Ali Bugti aka Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was arrested recently in a case pertaining to the blowing up of Khushhal Khan Khattak Express on Feb 16. The blast had left seven people dead and several others wounded.

Amjad Ali Jatoi, Bashir Ahmed Deenari and Bhooral Solangi were arrested for allegedly planting a motorcycle-bomb at a bus stand.

According to the Jacobabad police, the suspects belonged to the proscribed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) .

Strict security measures were taken to transport the suspects to the ATC and escort them back to the lock-up at the heavily guarded Jacobabad police station.

They were under interrogation by several law-enforcement agencies, sources said.

Meanwhile, police rounded up an unspecified number of suspects in several raids conducted on hotels, tea shops, restaurants and other public places in the city but all of them, according to senior police officers, were let off after interrogation at different police stations.
