KARACHI: The Rolls Royce Silver Ghost displayed at the annual vintage car show at the Frere Hall, described as the Quaid-i-Azam’s in Dawn’s March 2 edition, was used by the Quaid-i-Azam and Lord Mountbatten to reach the venue of a ceremony for the signing of the Declaration of Independence on Aug 14, 1947. The car, as also mentioned in the report, was owned by the Nawab of Bahawalpur.
