LAHORE: A seven-event card featuring a cup race awaits race-goers when the 26th Lahore Winter Meeting gets under way at the Racecourse here on Sunday.

The Faisalabad Cup, a class VI division I & II to be gone over 1300 metres will be contested by 14 runners over 1300 metres. It is expected to end in a thrilling finish to connoisseurs, delight.

The first five races to be gone over the sprinting distance of 900 metres comprise runners belonging to different divisions of class seven while the other two events are meant for the class six animals and will be contested over 1300 metres. In all, 71 horses will make the field. The first race will be held at 12.30pm.
