LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Friday handed down 28-year imprisonment to a man in an acid attack case here on Friday.

Awais was found guilty of throwing acid on Neelum of the Civil Lines area for refusing to marriage him.

The prosecution said the victim received critical burns on her face and the police investigation also found the accused guilty.

The suspect refused the allegation leveled against him and claimed he was implicated in the case by his opponents.

After hearing arguments, the judge announced the verdict and jailed the convict for 28 years.
