SIALKOT: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Friday foiled a major attempt to smuggle heroin to Jeddah at the Sialkot International Airport.

According to the airport management, two Sargodha-based suspects were attempting to travel to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on a Pakistan International Airlines flight. The suspects had hidden fine quality two kilo heroin somewhere in a suitcase that the ANF detected through scanners.

The ANF said the seized heroin was worth millions of rupees. It arrested the suspects and sent them behind bars.

Identities of the suspects were not revealed.

Further investigation is under way.
