ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office said on Thursday that the Bangladeshi government had been asked to clarify the harassment of the staff of Pakistan International Airlines in Dhaka and undue search of one aircraft.
“Our High Commission in Dhaka has taken up the matter with the Bangladesh Foreign Office. We await their explanation and response. This indeed is an unfortunate development,” FO Spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said at the weekly media briefing.
Bangladesh had last month expelled one of the Pakistani diplomats on allegations of being involved in terrorist financing and currency forgery.
According to reports from Dhaka, the residence of PIA’s manager in Bangladesh, Ali Abbas, was searched a few days ago and his family members were being harassed.
Bangladeshi authorities say they suspected Mr Abbas’s involvement in smuggling of gold and currencies.
One of the flights from Karachi was searched for a couple of hours.

Pakistan should disconnect all relationship with BD. It is no more a civilized country, after single party govet of Hussina Wajid, killing and jailing of thousands of Bangladesh opposition workers and so called kangaroo, international crime court. What Pakistan can expect from them. Three time they back out from promise of cricket team visiting Pakistan. Refuse to pay Pakistan due share of Cricket fee and now every day un civilized behavior with diplomats and other Pakistanis. Let them live in there revenge pshyce which will destroy them.

Don't know but how our Pakistani are always on the front in such negativities. Really majority of our nation has entirely contrary views & actions. I thing just for few we Pakistanis are getting denounced.

Pakistan needs to learn to earn respect, clean your own home, improve public education, introduce land reforms, finish feudalism, end tax evasion, end gangster capitalism, end departmental corruption, end large scale industry polluters, end this love affair with SUVs. You will see how the country and it's treatment by others with change. Alas, it won't happen.

gosh why do these people misuse their office and bring disgrace to the country. instead of protecting such useless people the govt should investigate and punish them. not enough creating havoc in the country by spreading terrorist ideology they are now doing it in bangladesh. the guy should be tried in a military court to set an example that is if the military is not involved in this

We must come of nostalgia about East Pakistan and see Bangladesh as a hostile country. Unfortunately our soft corner to Bangladesh is embolding them. The fact is that this is a far away country. Even further than Nepal and Siri Lanka. Why do we even need diplomatic relations with that country?
