India get preferential treatment for warm-ups

KARACHI: The prelude to the 2015 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand starts in earnest from Sunday when tournament’s co-hosts Australia take on reigning champions India in the opening warm-up fixture at the picturesque Adelaide Oval in the South Australia capital of Adelaide.
That game along with England-West Indies tie in Sydney on Monday, India-Afghanistan match in Adelaide on Tuesday and Pakistan’s clash with England in Sydney on Wednesday will be telecast live.
Pakistan will play the first of their two warm-up fixtures against Bangladesh at the Blacktown Olympic Park Oval in Sydney.
India, it is clear, have got preferential treatment from the tournament organisers as their both practice games have been scheduled at the Adelaide Oval where they open the defence of their title against arch-rivals Pakistan next Sunday (Feb 15).
It may be added that India have been in Australia since late November and played four Tests against the hosts as well as competed in a triangular series last month that also involved England.

@raj, Just tells me how indomitable we are .I even suspect choosing this particular ground of all the grounds is preferential as well. This is the only ground that resembles the ideal conditions of what Indians have back home. On a wicket like Perth, they know quite well our bowlers are going to give them nightmares. Secondly, while you can camplain that Pak did not get any of its warm up in Adelaide, how can you be upset that India get to warm up in Adelaide. Its a good understanding between BBCI and PCB....Ajmal will be cleared but don't play against INIDA at WC and loose the match in-return and if you adhere to that We will also resume our Bilateral series...
Remember what happened during 2011WC, we are assured our players will be allowed into IPL, if we loose the semi-final and every one know what happened....You don't have to be scientist to understand this.

Yes, Australia just dished out another "treatment" to India in the warm up match. There is a disappointing pattern to this. It is not going to change overnight. It will be tough for India to get to the semi's. If they loose to Afghanistan in the 2nd warm up match, I would say they cut the losses and return India. I think Pak will win against India.

It is high time people realize that now cricketers along with their clubs and councils are only concerned about money making. It is shameful to see the amount of money involved in the game and how this money is flaunted whereas the other sports are grossly ignored. On top of that players are more concerned about brand endorsements than playing.
There is always a possibility of a match being fixed and the players being compromised. I used to love the game but now I have stopped watching it as it looks just like a glorified version of WWE.

As I am closely watching the india matches in Australia, there is not any use for the Indians to play in the same venue.. whether they televised or not...... Do n't worry.. Still they are not able to register a simple win in Australia for the past two months...
I wish Pakistan to play with their same speed and determination.. They can easily win any matches in Australia...
Don't get your minds with what is happening around you.. If you work hard .. then it will be a best day whatever may be the pitch..
