ISLAMABAD: The Japan International Coopera­tion Agency (Jica) has agreed to provide technical assistance to auto parts manufacturing industry in Pakistan.

Jica Chief Representative in Pakistan Mitsuyoshi Kawasaki and Chief Executive Officer of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) Mohammad Alamgir Chaudhry signed an agreement in this regard here on Thursday.

Commenting on the significance of the project, Jica representative stated that the new project would help achieve higher results in auto part industry by ensuring implementation of the plan of actions, efficient use of existing resources and building trustful services delivery.
