KARACHI: A young man was found shot dead in Mochko on Tuesday, the police said.

His body with a single bullet wound on head was recovered from bushes in Hawkesbay Scheme-42, they added.

It appeared that the man was kidnapped and later on killed and his body was thrown there on Monday night, said the Mochko SHO.

The body was shifted to the Edhi morgue for want of identification after medico-legal formalities in the Civil Hospital Karachi.

Schoolteacher killed

A 33-year-old schoolteacher was shot dead in a suspected targeted attack in Gulistan-i-Johar on Tuesday, the Sharea Faisal police said.

They added that Fazal Rehman was riding a motorbike when armed motorcyclists shot him dead.

The victim was an Islamic studies teacher at the Iqra Rozatul Atfal in Gulistan-i-Johar, said SHO Ejaz Qaimkhani. The deceased was a resident of Gulshan-i-Maymar and hailed from Rahim Yar Khan.

‘Lawyer’s killer held’

The police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a suspected killer of a senior advocate. Lawyer Tanveer Chaudhry was shot dead in Defence on January 9.

“With the help of modern technology, the police arrested suspect Faisal Baloch,” said South SSP Tariq Dharejo. The suspect allegedly belonged to the Ashok gang operating in Chanesar Goth.
