IT is said: ‘Any excuse is good enough to serve an evil-doer’. We remember the story of the wolf and the lamb in which the wolf tore the lamb up on the pretext that his father called him names last year. The same is the case with India when the Modi government orders PIA to vacate New Delhi office, saying that their purchases in Delhi are unauthorised.

It is surprising that India came to know about this illegal purchase after 10 years.

The same happened when it called off the foreign secretary-level talks in 2014 on the pretext that Pakistan’s High Commissioner Abdul Basit had planned to meet Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders.

Pakistan’s peace and coexistence with neighbouring countries and its stance on the Kashmir issue are correct. Pakistan needs to strengthen its viewpoint with the support of the international community to pressure India to show flexibility and move with a purpose to solve problems instead of aggravating them.
