CONTRARY to allegations, I believe PIA is maintaining its safety record in accordance with all international safety institutes and never wilfully threatened life of passengers.

For this specific reason, PIA is allowed its operation in Europe and North America.

I had the honour of flying with numerous international airlines and had witnessed flight delays, lost baggage, air turnbacks and aborted take-offs.

These phenomena are a normal part and parcel of airline operations.

Our media in general (not Dawn) and some channels always highlight any negative event about PIA.

PIA is our national pride and we have to project its positive aspects instead of questioning its safety standards.
