FBR & education

Published January 23, 2015

THE order issued by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) makes education a bit more complex and difficult.

To cover its usual and heavy deficit, every institution taking Rs300,000 and plus annual fee are charged with an additional five per cent tax by the FBR, no matter on what grounds the school was founded.

The school I am admitted to (SSTPSR) came into being for the welfare of the deprived areas in the interior of Sindh. If such organisations are put under pressure, they are left with no alternative but closure.
