ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Association for the Physically Handicapped (PCAPH) on Thursday said the national team is scheduled to play a triangular series in India in March.
The PCAPH chairman in a statement said he hoped the series would help players prepare for the World Cup. Talking to APP, PCAPH chairman Abbas Hashmi said the triangular series also include India and Afghanistan.
“I always wanted to contribute in one way or the other to the promotion of cricket for the Physically Handicapped players in the country,” he said, adding: “India and Afghanistan have raised their teams and we are looking forward to a few more countries.
“We are giving all facilities to our players that usually first-class cricketers get such as traveling and lodging arrangements,” he claimed and added that the team is also scheduled to play against South Africa in June.
“We are in close contact with many foreign teams to host a championship in Islamabad this year. India and Afghanistan have been touring Pakistan regularly for bilateral series but this time we are planning to host a championship containing more nations.”
