QUETTA: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Quetta on Tuesday rejected the bail application of Junaid Shehzad — the main accused involved in the cold-blooded murder of six-year-old Hazara girl Sahar Batool.
Police had arrested Shehzad in connection with the murder of the Hazara girl a month after the incident had taken place.

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Quetta Razzaq Cheema had said that the accused had confessed his involvement in Batool's murder.
He was produced in the ATC under tight security today.
During today's hearing, Shehzad's counsel requested the judge to grant bail to his client.
ATC judge Justice Aftab Ahmed Loan rejected the bail plea.
Batool's body was found in November in the Zarghoon area of Quetta. Initially, Batool's murder was shrouded in mystery. However, mounting pressure from political parties and civil society protests had forced police to arrest the accused.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had also taken notice of the murder.
