Who is the fastest man in Karachi?

The All Karachi Athletics Championship, the first athletics meet up of the year, was held at NSTC.

Racing through 100 meters in 11.12 seconds — that's what it took Mohammad Shahzaib Khan from EASA Technical Academy to win the "Fastest man in Karachi" title at the all Karachi Athletics championship organised by Sindh Track and Field Club and Sindh Amateur Athletics Association.

Held at the National Sports Training and Coaching Center, the first athletics meet of the year opened up with men's 1,500 meters and women's 800 meters.

At the end of the 25 track and field events later the same afternoon, the team from Aga Khan University Hospital picked up the championship trophies in the Men and Women categories. Iqra University won the runners up trophy for men, while Karachi Medical and Dental college finished with the number two slot for women athletes.

Some of the exceptional performance of the day included Karachi American School's 13-year old Reyna Adam's double win in the women 800m (3minutes 1 second) as well as the under-16 400m sprint with a time of 1 minute 19 seconds.

Hiba Khursheed from Foundation Public School did a clean sweep in the under-16 100m and 200m sprints clocking 13.6 seconds and 31.8 seconds respectively. Habib Public and Karachi Grammar School ran photo finishes in the boys 100m and 200m sprints with gold going to Habib in the shorter sprint.

Karachi Grammar's Ghulam Mohammad picked up the gold in 200m and a silver in 100m, edged out by Musab Zaman from Habib Public School. Amin Farid from CAS School won the gold and bronze medal in the under-16 boys 400m and 200m sprint.

The event was graced by multiple senior athletes, national record holders and coaches, Director National Coaching Center and Karachi Deputy commissioner.
