KARACHI: Despite a defiant unbeaten knock of 96 from Yousuf Khan, Ravi Gymkhana suffered a 79-run defeat against New United Gymkhana in their KCCA President Cup fixture at the TM Ground here on Friday.

Chasing 249, Ravi Gymkhana were bowled out for 169 in 41.1 overs with Yousuf striking eight boundaries and a brace of sixes.

Paceman Zaheer Abbas took 4-32 to help Pak Crescent CC beat Nazimabad B’ by six wickets at the Asifabad Sports Ground.

Spinners Farooq Abdullah and Shoaib Badar shared six wickets between them as Orangi Star CC sealed an 86-run win over Falcon CC at the KCCA Stadium.

Meanwhile, a brilliant all-round effort from Mansoor Ali helped Prince Imtiaz CC annihilate Pak Student CC by 204 runs at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground on Thursday.

Batting first, Prince Imtiaz CC amassed 358-4 in 45 overs with Mansoor making 177 that included 22 boundaries and two sixes, while Mohammad Shahid scored 129 (14 fours and one six).

Pak Student CC, in reply, mustered 154-9 with Mansoor Ali grabbing five for 29 with his off-spinners.

Former Pakistan Under-19 all-rounder Ahmed Iqbal struck an unbeaten 123 off 104 balls (12 fours and two sixes) in guiding Al-Noor Gymkhana to an 89-run victory against Liaquatabad Eaglets at the TMC Ground.
