PESHAWAR: At least three policemen were injured Thursday in an attack on a police mobile van in Gara Mastan area of Daraban in Dera Ismail Khan.

Sources said armed men attacked the van with light and heavy weapons leaving three policemen, including an Assistant Sub-Inspector, injured.

Police responded with retaliatory firing but there are no reports regarding militant casualties.

The injured persons were shifted to a hospital.

Gunmen open fire near girls school in Swabi; no casualties

Unknown gunmen opened fire near the Government Girls School in Swabi's Chota Lahor area and fled.

No loss of life was reported and the cause of the incident is also not know yet, according to police.
