Who supports them?

Published December 28, 2014

THE Peshawer tragedy is one of the saddest events in the history of Pakistan. This incident has raised several questions. Why can’t we stop these terrorists? Are they more powerful than our security forces?

Who is supporting them? From where do they get encouragement to kill our citizens when our army operation is at its peak? This is not humanity. I believe we all are hypocrites. We promise but don’t fulfil.

We make policies but don’t implement. We say something off the record and tell something else in front of a TV camera.

This whole country has become Waziristan. Powerful, corrupt people control everything. A few months ago there was a dispute over whether we call terrorist a martyr. It is unfortunate that some of our politicians and ulema passed such remarks.

It’s time we united against these evil forces. Political leaders should keep their egos aside and sit together and provide a solution to eliminate terrorism. The army alone cannot win this fight. Politicians, civil servants, law-enforcement agencies, the media and the common man need to support them.
