PESHAWAR: The home and tribal affairs department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has demanded Rs100 million on immediate basis for payment as compensation to the legal heirs of the victims of the attack on the Army Public School and College, Peshawar.
According to a statement issued here on Monday, the home department through a communiqué requested the finance department of the provincial government to release Rs100 million immediately to be paid to the families of the innocent civilian victims as compensation who lost lives in the deadly terrorist attack on Dec 16.
It was stated that some 141 precious buds had perished in the attack before they blossomed, and 121 were injured. The tragic incident plunged the country into deep mourning in general and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in particular.
