QUETTA: Security forces claimed to have captured on Monday four alleged members of the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Kuchlak area and seized a huge quality of arms and ammunitions on them.

A senior official said that arrests were made during a raid conducted by security personnel in Killi Jamaluddin area of Kuchlak, about 25km from here, on an intelligence report that TTP militants were present there.

One of the arrested men is said to be a TTP `commander’. They, however, did not disclose the identity of the suspects.

Official sources said the captured men had been shifted to an unspecified place for interrogation.

Other sources identified two of the captured men as Abdul Qadir and Abdul Nabi.

Four days ago security personnel took into custody four alleged members of the TTP in Eastern Bypass area of Quetta.

Meanwhile, security has been tightened in and around all government buildings, particularly the Governor House, Chief Minister House, Civil Secretariat and ministers’ residences located in the red zone of the city.
