BRISBANE: Australia beat India by four wickets in the second Test match to take a 2-0 lead in the four-match series at the Gabba on Saturday.
The Australians won with a day to spare after paceman Mitchell Johnson tilted the balance with a devastating spell of three wickets for 10 off 11 balls to put the skids under India's second innings.
India were dismissed for 224 to leave Australia with the task of 128 runs for victory.
They made heavy weather of it, losing six wickets, but they will take a 2-0 series lead to the third Test, starting in Melbourne on Boxing Day.
Match scores: India 408 and 224; Australia 505 and 130 for 6.

The boyz in blue can't handle speed and bounce outside the subcontinent. It will be a white wash like their last tour.

When Australia comes to India, they lose 4-0. When India goes to Australia, we lose 4-0. I wonder which is the better team?

well played both ....... but india lost both test very very narrowly................. 4 wkts and some 48 runs was margin of aussies victory ..... kohli is getting better and better on all batting stripes even in aus he started scoring .... dhoni most likely will sit out in next 2 tests due injury or some other reasons, whatever it be..... they have a selg-knighted some mr "Sir Jadejah" and he is not even in playing 12s.... wow. boys in blue will remain blue forever. good to see one of big three decimating the other so called one of big three....

Well played both teams. Yet Indian team played better. The way wicket was playing latter, a target of 150 could have been tough for Australia to catch up.

@patriot We all know status of our team, if we are not losing test matches then why are not we on top of table? I would be even happy if we make into top 3 in test/ODI/T20.

If Rohit Sharma kept his big moth shut it may be a different result
He backed his big mouth with a DUCK :))) what a looser
Mitchell Johnson proved he is the daddy of Indians in this test

Sub-Standard Umpiring and India was at the receiving end. I wonder why does India refuse DRS? If India won't use it, how would it improve?

@anshul I beg to differ. India's bowling attack, specially fast bowling is good; they are currently bowling well. If India batted well in the second innings, they would have easily won the Gabba Test.

As long as India are competitive in the tests & one day series in Australia (which they are so far), its all good. The real goal of this tour is getting used to Australian conditions for the world cup which starts in less than 2 months.

If MSD has been India's best captain in the shorter format of the game, then to to his credit he has been the worst ever in tests!!
He is a like a dictator of a country who continues to send it from one disaster to another yet there is no one who can challenge his rule, so sad!
