LAHORE: A local commission made to inspect the election record in NA-122 on Wednesday held a scrutiny of the ballots cast at 12 polling stations of the National Assembly constituency.
The commission comprising retired sessions judge Ghulam Hussain Awan held inspection in the presence of representatives of PTI chief Imran Khan and NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
The returning officer of NA-122 and other officials assisted the commission in the process held at Nadir Hall of the DCO office. The constituency had a total of 284 polling stations.
An election tribunal had ordered the inspection of the record on an application of Imran Khan who alleged that the victory of Sadiq was a result of rigging.

12 out 284 is not a good sample to determine if there was any wrong doing.... Either inspect the whole constituency or don't do it at all....

Regardless, after passing of time since past election, the victory of Sardar Ayaz Sadiq is guaranteed! Before commission even sees a real vote Slready casted, there will be numerous legal maneuvers to stop this vain process since the person in question after all is speaker of the NA assembly, and above all the laws of the land where many politicians have enjoyed such great privilege during past and current regime, and counting... .

@Sultan What has vote recounting to do with Peshawar Tragedy? If anything, recounting will expose the false/fraud policy makers.

@Sultan I disagree with you. No doubt that was a tragic incident but it doesn't mean we stop the justice system in this country. Its time for us to act mature & united as a nation, and not think in terms of emotions only.

@Sultan Alvi (Canada) We cannot stop running the country or stop our courts/justice system just because of a tragedy no matter how big it is. I am not trying to discount the tragedy or being ignorant but the world is not gonna stop for us.

So finally they realized this is a way to go. It would be a big slap on the face of NS and speaker sb if inconsistencies are found in the inspection process. Not good for their Jamhooriat. We hope this inspection is done honestly.

@Sultan Alvi (Canada) What a silly suggestion. What happened in Peshawar is indeed very sad, however, that does not in any way mean we cease all other business and start mourning. Business should go on as usual. Counting should be done further any further delay. You sound like a Nihari league supporter!

Vote must be count of all the countsituency so that the actual position should be in front of the public it has no justification if they open only 12 polling station.

Sara ' victory was a result of scientifically rigged election. Don't let him use the influence of his official position to influence the obvious outcome of the scrutiny. Example, 12 out of 284 selected - why not do the entire 284; this is the way to expose the election fraud. Don't settle for anything else. The whole nation is watching....
