SIALKOT: The widow of MQM leader Bao Muhammad Anwar received a cheque for Rs2 million from the Punjab government as compensation on Wednesday.

MPAs Chaudhry Muhammad Ikram and Manshaullah Butt and Sialkot District Coordination Officer Nadeem Sarwar handed over the cheque to the widow at her house in Shahabpura.

Bao Anwar was gunned down by unidentified motorcyclists in the Sialkot city one week ago.
