LAHORE: Marketing companies have increased price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs5 per kg.

“Prices have illegally been increased twice by marketing companies during the last two days,” said LPG Distributors Association Chairman Irfan Khokhar on Monday.

Neither the public sector producers increased per kg price, nor Ogra issued any notification in this regard.

The price of domestic cylinder has been increased by Rs60 and commercial cylinder by Rs240.

Quoting Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority rules and policy, Mr Khokhar said that LPG should now be available for Rs95 per kg because of decrease of its prices in the international market.

In Karachi, the price of domestic cylinder would be Rs1,390 and Rs120 a kg. In Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Hyderabad and Sukkur, the price of domestic cylinder would be Rs1,630 with one kg price at Rs140.

Domestic cylinders in Mirpur, Multan, Bahawalpur, Peshawar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Kohat and Bannu would be sold for Rs1,690 and one kg at Rs145.

In Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the price of domestic cylinder would come down to Rs1,870 and one kg at Rs160.

In Murree, Nathia Galli, Muzaffarabad, Bagh (AJK) and Fata, the price of domestic cylinder would be Rs1,930 and one kg price at Rs165, said Mr Khokhar.
