LAHORE: A large number of students of premier educational institutions participated in the youth festival arranged by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) at Ali Institute of Education here on Sunday.

The day-long festival began with screening of a documentary, depicting the growing trend of intolerance in the country. Activists of the youth wings of labour unions and students later discussed measures to counter the menace of intolerance that had been ruining the very fabric of society.

Produced and directed by Umer Safdar, Heer Waris Shah was watched by the participants with keen interest.

The festival concluded with rendering of Sufi poetry by Arieb Azhar band.
