NA-122 alleged rigging: Election tribunal summons Imran Khan

LAHORE: The election tribunal on Saturday issued summons for Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, calling for the party chief to appear before it on December 6.
Imran has been summoned to submit evidence in relation to alleged rigging in NA-122, the constituency from which Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was elected in the 2013 general election.
Tribunal member Kazim Ali Malik issued the directive as 41 polling agents appeared before him. Out of these, eight had their statements recorded regarding allegations of rigging in NA-122.
Sadiq had defeated Imran, following which the PTI chief had challenged the election result before the tribunal, asking for a recount of the votes cast in the constituency.
The tribunal moreover dismissed two pleas filed by Sadiq — one saying that the attestation in relation to the duties of PTI’s polling agents was bogus and the other which requested for the immediate summoning of Imran for cross-examination.
In relation to the polling agents’ attestation, the tribunal said the matter was an administrative one and should be dealt with the competent authorities. The tribunal said it could not pass a ruling on the subject.
Moreover, Imran, through his counsel, had argued that the plea taken by Sadiq was baseless and did not pertain to the merits of the case.
Regarding the call to summon Imran immediately, the tribunal issued summons for the PTI chairman for Dec 6, saying cross-examination can be done on that day.

I do believe ( though hesitantly ) about transparent and clean hearings for IK.... if by any last chance a transparent hearing takes place .... then please summon all other political leaders regardless of whether they are in opposition / ruling party must present proofs for their allegations who ever he/she had alleged, particularly those be summoned without fail, who in last 10 days of cross-firing had alleged each other....
and all those political leaders who are/were facing NAB cases must be removed from their seats with immediate effect in order for us to see that our political democratic leaders believe in the myth of democracy and are ready to face the music..... at the hands of our courts ( if our courts succeeded in establishing a niche as being free, fair and not politically motivated ).

Election Commission and Supreme Court please wake up please get the vote count and verification of election result done .This is the moral duty of Supreme court and Election commission of Pakistan .

no bio-metric unique identification!
no EVM (electronic voting machine)
still using age ballot systems how can you expect cridible results ?
with all these some pakistani's questioned Kashmir elections credibility ? we stopped using ballot systems in 90's !!

Lets see what kind of evidences he submits. Till now all evidences submitted by IK in court, if any, lack clarity. More focus is given on verbal evidences of speeches but no proof or evidence is available. Like IK said many extra papers were printed then allowed but has no evidence. Sometimes say UNDP was thrown out which was rejected by UNDP.

So instead of investigating the constituency ECP would investigate Mr. Khan. The tribunal simply needs to check the results again and check for bogus votes. Indeed these are pressure and delaying tactics.

Again, Election Commission want to Save themselves, There is No need Cross examination of IK.
They Need to Cross examine Speaker after Re-counting..as to why he Should NOT be punished for fraudulence & cheating.

Only a rank criminal, fraudster, con artist and a habitual liar like IK would submit affidavits notarized by a bogus oath commissioner. This anomaly will be easily challenged by the Speaker in any apex court.

This is the only legal course available regarding this subject. The remaining is all nonsense. The question is why did PTI raised so much hue and cry in this respect when a legal remedy ia not only available but the aggrieved party have had recourse to it. Is IK above law or he desetves a special treatment? In fact he has been trying to find a short cut to power by crying foul.

a total delaying tactics.....pmln wants to stretch the time to complete 5 years without solving the rigging problems and election reforms. The existing system better serve their agenda of manipulating the resources with authoritative kind of rule, where there is no rule of law, merit and solidification of institutions. The ostentatious works like inauguration of motor way or three times ceremony of basha dam virtually does not serve to decrease troubles in a common man life.
Please make institutions on merit and implement rule of law without discrimination if that are you or zardari, or a common man, be equally treated. Unless you work to decrease the gap between have and have nots no body can trust you, you the elite

You mean bury the people before they have actually died.
People should be appointed based on skills and not based on age. This falls under age discrimination and discrimination of any kind is a crime.

Speaker ayaz Sadiq is on stay order the massive rigging in this constituency reported he must be disqualify if transparent inquiry under the In dependant commission ....He has no moral right to be a speaker to conduct NA session.massive rigging in election 2013 and now Pandora box soon to be open.

Everybody is wasting time unless we address the core issue; involvement of army into politics. Nobody is talking directly against the main conspirators. Sharifs, Zardaris, Choudhries and thousands like them are mere crumb-eaters. Main course goes to high achelons of army brass.
Whatever happened in election of 2013, or any election in the history of Pakistan, the main engineer was armed forces of the country. These idiot politicians are mere 'cultivation' of army's green house.

@Kamran Ayaz Sadiq will never allow a recount. Election tribunal is sitting on it for 18 months, SC is not taking any action. What else can Imran do except protest. It is not rocket science to know what is going on.
