KARACHI: The two-day Karachi under-14 boxing championship commenced at Ustad Abdullah Baloch boxing stadium, Peoples Sports Complex, on Friday.

As many as 32 promising pugilists are competing in the bouts which are taking place in six weights – 36 kg, 38 kg, 40 kg, 42 kg, 44 kg and 46 kg.

Seven bouts took place on the opening day and the winners advanced to the finals.

Results: First round:

36 kg: Mannan bt Raheel 3-0; Zohaib bt Zaman 3-0

38 kg: Yasir bt Shahnawaz 2-1; Wasif bt Saleem 3-0

40 kg: Tanveer bt Kashif 2-1

42 kg: Saleem bt Sohail 2-1; Zaib bt Waseem 3-0.
