ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on late Thursday night said that Pakistan wants a meaningful dialogue with India on all issues, DawnNews reported.
The prime minister said during an in-flight press briefing on his return from the 18th Saarc Summit in Nepal.
Prime Minister Sharif said that Pakistan wants to discuss all issues including Kashmir with India through a proper dialogue.
He said that he will not allow the country’s dignity and image to be tarnished by anyone.
Protests and sit-ins will not be allowed to hamper the progress of Pakistan, Sharif said while commenting on PTI chairman Imran Khan.
The protestors were unable to create a new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and they are bent on damaging the country, he said.
People did not give votes to Imran Khan for protests, the PM said, adding: “This is Khan’s personal agenda. Had this been a national agenda, he wouldn’t have done all this.”
The prime minister said that KPs official resources, including fuel, are being used in the protests.
He said the protestors wanted to weaken the country while polio volunteers were being killed and criminals were running away from jails in KP.
