ISLAMABAD: Blasting at PTI leader Jahangir Tarin for levelling baseless allegations against PML(N) leaders, Minister of State for Privatisation Muhammad Zubair said here on Tuesday that Mr Tarin who possessed nothing in the 1990s, is now far ahead of any PML leader in terms of wealth.

In 1995, his sugar mills were producing merely 4,000 tons of sugar, and 20 years later, Mr Tarin’s sugar mills were now producing 60,000 of sugar.

At the same time, he was the largest contractor of the Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP), Mr Zubair disclosed it while addressing a news conference together with Information Minister Parvaiz Rashid.

The state minister accused Mr Tarin of multiplying wealth after becoming minister in Pervez Musharraf’s cabinet.

He waived a loan of Rs247 million together with interest drawn in the name of ‘superior textile mills’.
