Six-day work

Published November 25, 2014

APROPOS the letter ‘Six-day work’ (Nov 19). I endorse the writer’s views. The motto of our nation should be work, work and work in order to get our country out of the economic quagmire, instead of having holidays and fewer working days.

We see a lot of time wasted by strikes and sit-ins, which lead to a slowdown in economic activities, the present GDP, a burgeoning population, lack of infrastructure and the shortage in the power sector.

Business suffers a lot as there are no banking transactions on Saturday.
