The joint venture production of the film Mission 5 by Shiny Toy Guns (STG) and Shaan Shahid, has been halted due to ongoing scheduling problems, according to a press release.

STG, which is headed by film maker Asad-ul-Haq and marketer Ali Murtuza jointly took the decision with the actor who was also penning the script.

The decision to call off production was mutually decided by all parties involved in the best interest of the film, since the script demanded a specific season for filmmaking and production.

On behalf of the team of Shiny Toy Guns Asad-ul-Haq and Ali Murtaza stated: "Shaan is a dear friend and a fantastic individual to work with. Shiny Toy Guns wishes Shaan and Riaz Shahid Films the best of luck for their independent production of Mission 5.”

However STG and Shaan Shahid will be collaborating again soon and details regarding it will be revealed later.

Mission 5 was earlier being produced by STG in collaboration with Shaan's Riaz Shahid Films (RSF), and was supposed to go into production by November 2014. The film's slated release date was to be on Eidul Fitr in 2015.
