MUZAFFARABAD: A Pakistan Air Force pilot who died in a plane crash in Karachi on Friday was buried in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday with full military honours.

Squadron Leader Tanveer Ahmed was killed when his Mirage aircraft crashed in Gadap area during a routine night-time operational training mission. He is survived by his wife and a daughter.

Funeral prayer was offered in Kotli and was attended by a large number of people, including AJK Legislative Assembly member Malick Mohammad Nawaz and senior officials of the PAF, army and police.

He was buried in Dangrot village on the outskirts of Kotli.
