LAHORE: Jinnah Hospital nurses staged a sit-in on Friday outside the office of the Allama Iqbal Medical College principal to protest delay in action against a doctor who had allegedly slapped their junior colleague.

The nurses said a male doctor deputed in an intensive care unit misbehaved with a duty nurse and also slapped her. They alleged the matter was brought to knowledge of the management but no action was taken against the doctor.

They raised slogans against the admin officials for backing the ‘guilty’ doctor and announced that they would continue protest daily outside the principal office till an action against the doctor.
