LAHORE: Punjab PPP President Manzoor Wattoo presided over a meeting of the Executive Council here on Friday which was attended by divisional co-coordinators, district presidents and information secretaries.

It discussed the recommendations formulated by the party secretariat for making the Foundation Day Workers Convention 2014 a big success.

Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto is set to chair the convention on Nov 30.

Wattoo said the chairman was expected to reach the provincial capital a couple of days before the convention.

He said delegates from all provinces besides Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan would participate in the convention with Punjab playing the host. The convention would be held inside Bilawal House accommodating 6,000 workers and office-bearers from all over the country.

The provincial convention, he said, would be held in January. On Nov 28, the People’s Youth Organisation and the People’s Students Federation would bring out a torch-bearing procession; while on Nov 29, fireworks, a musical show, horses performance and folk singing would add to the festivity outside Bilawal House.
