The Board of Directors of Peshawar Electric Supply Corporation (Pesco) have approved the suggestion of printing the facsimiles of the reading of electricity meters on consumers’ monthly bills. This is a consumer-friendly action for which Pesco authorities should be appreciated.

Pesco authorities need to take another measure which will almost put an end to complaints of over-billing. The correction of bills by the relevant authority will become an easy process.

The current practice is that when you complain of over-billing. The authorities stress that consumers pay their bills now and in future bills of small amount showing little consumption would be issued. Further consumer-friendly steps should be taken immediately.
