LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly speaker has re-invited elected members of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf for verification of the resignations they had submitted in August.

The PTI MPAs have been asked to appear before Speaker Rana Iqbal at 10am on Nov 7, say the notices issued by the assembly secretariat here on Friday.

An official of the secretariat said a major demand of the PTI had been met by inviting all its MPAs for the verification of resignations simultaneously at the same time and day. He, however, hastened to add that despite inviting them collectively, the speaker would meet the MPAs individually.

He said the lawmakers were being invited after Youm-i-Ashur keeping in view the request of opposition leader Mahmoodur Rashid.
