LAHORE: As many as eight schools’ teams in 15-17 years age group on Friday won the pool contests of the Dawn in Education Spelling Bee competition organised in collaboration with the US Embassy at the Ali Institute of Education.

The eight pool winners including seven from Lahore are: Musab School System, Main Campus, Johar Town, Lahore; The City School, New Muslim Town, Lahore; Beaconhouse School System, Garden Town, Lahore; Beaconhouse School System, JT Sr. Boys, Johar Town, Lahore; Lahore Grammar School, Shah Jamal Branch, Lahore; Sialkot Grammar School, Bhopalwala Branch, Sialkot; Bloomfield Hall School, Gulberg Branch, Gulberg-III, Lahore; and SISA, Girls Campus, Johar Town, Lahore.

Mr Tanwir Shah acted as pronouncer at the competition, while Qudsia Sajjad, Amna Khan, Hamza Javaid Iqbal and Murtaza Ali Shah acted as adjudicators.
