MARDAN: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president of Awami National Party Ameer Haider Hoti has termed the resignations issue of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MNAs a drama.

Addressing ANP workers here in Gumbat area on Thursday, he said that on the one hand the PTI lawmakers announced that they had resigned from their NA seats, on the other they were getting their perks and privileges as MNAs. On this occasion, JUI-F activist Matlab Shah and his family members joined ANP.

Mr Hoti said that the PTI leaders should follow the footsteps of Javed Hashmi who quit his seat soon after announcement of his resignation during the National Assembly session.

He said that his party workers had been eagerly waiting for by-polls. He said that they would not spare the PTI leaders who had deceived Pakhtuns by raising a mere slogan of ‘Naya Pakistan’.

He alleged that the PTI leadership did not want the progress and prosperity of Pakhtun nation. He lamented that all decisions regarding the affairs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were being taken by Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Jahangir Tareen in Islamabad.

Mr Hoti said that both Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif were not sincere with the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and only ANP was fighting for the rights of Pakhtun nation.
