LAHORE: Half-centuries from Kamran Afzal and Gohar Hafeez enabled Lahore Eagles to post 286 in their first innings against Rawalpindi Rams on the opening day of the four-day PCB Inter-Region U-19 final at Mirpur Stadium, Azad Kashmir on Thursday.

Kamran hit a 100-ball 79 featuring eight fours and three sixes as Eagles were bowled out in 83 overs.

Gohar ably supported the top-scorer with a 95-ball 53 laced with nine boundaries and Ahsan Tariq (41 off 78, four fours).

Shadab Khan and Mohammad Ismail took two wickets each for 77 and 45 runs, respectively.

By close of play, Rams, in their first innings, were 9-0 in 5.1 overs.
