LAHORE: Four schools each in the 9-11 and 12-14 age groups on Wednesday won the pool contests of the Dawn in Education Spelling Bee competition.

The event is being organised in collaboration with the US Embassy at Ali Institute of Education.

In 9-11 age cohort, the pool winners are: SISA, Main Campus, Lahore; Convent of Jesus & Mary, Lahore; Lahore Grammar School, Kabana Branch, Lahore; and Army Public School and College, Mahfooz Shaheed, Lahore.

In 12-14 age group, the pool winners are: FFC Grammar Higher Secondary School, Rahim Yar Khan; Lahore Grammar School, 1A1 Senior, Lahore; Beaconhouse School System, Gujrat; and Aitchison College, Lahore.

Mr Tanwir Shah acted as pronouncer at the competition, while Amna Khan, Kinza Ashraf, Ismat Riaz and Rehan Khan acted as adjudicators.
